A leading UK commercial law firm is seeking an ambitious Banking & Finance Legal Director or Partner to join its growing Belfast office.
This is a strategic appointment within a well-established national finance practice that advises a broad range of lenders, borrowers, private equity houses, funders, investors and corporates on complex financing transactions across the Northern Ireland and the broader UK.

Your New Role
As the Banking & Finance Legal Director or Partner, you will advise on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including:
- Acquisition finance.
- Real estate finance.
- Corporate lending.
- Leveraged finance.
- Development and project finance.
- Refinancing and restructuring transactions.
- Security documentation and intercreditor arrangements.
- Cross-border financing matters.
The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions while simultaneously developing client relationships and contributing to the continued expansion of the practice across Northern Ireland and beyond.
What You Need To Succeed
Applications are sought from solicitors who can demonstrate:
- 8+ years' PQE in banking & finance (guideline only). Ideally qualified Northern Ireland, although qualification in England & Wales and the Republic Of Ireland may also be considered.
- Strong technical expertise across banking and lending transactions.
- Experience managing client relationships and leading transactions independently.
- Commercial awareness and strong business development skills.
- A network within the Northern Ireland legal and financial services market would be advantageous.
- The ambition to play a leadership role within a growing practice.
Senior Associate Solicitors, Of Counsel, Legal Directors with a strong track record are encouraged to apply, as are established Partners seeking a platform with significant growth potential.
