A leading law firm with offices in Belfast is recruiting for an Employment lawyer at partner level for their pre-eminent Employment Law team which is consistently ranked band 1.
The firm’s highly skilled and excellent Employment Law team advise many of the most significant employers operating in Northern Ireland including multinationals and well known local and international brands. They provide advice across all sectors including finance, technology, retail and energy and have a dynamic mix of advisory, transactional and contentious work. The existing lawyers in the team have excellent experience and market recommendations from Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
Your New Role
As an Employment partner in this leading law firm, you will have significant employment law experience, excellent legal knowledge, strong interpersonal skills and a commercially pragmatic and solutions focussed approach to dealing with employment law.
You will lead a team advising on the full range of employment services including:
- Tribunal and High Court Representation
- Drafting, Maintenance and Training on HR Policies and Protocols
- Trade Union Recognition and Relationship
- Service Agreements
- Employment Transactional Advice on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Transactions
- Discrimination Awareness and Training for Management
- Policies and Procedures
What you’ll Need To Succeed
As an Employment Law partner, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 8 years’ post-qualification experience in an Employment team.
- Deep technical knowledge of most of the employment areas listed above.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills as well as strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with leading a team and experience of supervising other lawyers.
- An ambitious, proactive, curious, commercially pragmatic, responsive attitude.
- Examples of marketing and business development initiatives they have been involved with.
- Strong interpersonal skills
